Lobuche East (6100m)
Matthew L. climbed his first Himalayan peak with Everest Experts! An "easy walk-up" peak with great views of the entire Khumbu!
Often used to acclimatize for Everest - you increase safety by saving a trip up the Khumbu Icefall - the summit of Lobuche is roughly the same elevation as Camp 1 on Everest.
My favorite time of day is dawn because of all the pastel colors - it was rather moody with the valley fog :) Very cold this time up and I had to manage some frozen toes by swinging my feet every so often. Wish I had my warmer boots with me!
