We will look at a few low-cost PIR modules, compare electronic and relay-equipped versions, and show the wire, power, configuration for my DIY applications. We will see the voltage ranges (5–24V), output behavior (input equals output), hidden board markings, sensitivity and delay adjustments, and the confusing “re-trigger” mode. We will look at a working setup using a relay-based unit with adjustable timing via DIP switches, and talk about uses from automatic lighting and burglar deterrents to animal control and anti-graffiti systems. Changing Sensitivity and Delay time
There are 2 potentiometers: Sensitivity Adjust and Time delay adjust. Left: Sensitivity Right: Time delay
The max sensitivity goes up to 6 meters.
Time Delay Adjust potentiometer sets how long the output is on.
