On April 23, 2026, a major tornado outbreak swept across parts of Oklahoma, Kansas, Missouri, and Iowa. Over the course of the day, I documented five tornadoes in Oklahoma — including the violent EF4 that struck Enid.

The video begins near Braman, Oklahoma, where a supercell produced four tornadoes, including two rare satellite tornadoes. Fortunately, the largest tornado weakened just south of Braman, sparing the town from a direct hit.
As that storm became embedded within a messy storm complex, another supercell rapidly intensified in the volatile atmosphere to the southwest near Enid, Oklahoma. This storm quickly produced a powerful tornado that would go on to cause substantial destruction across south Enid. The tornado remained on the ground for more than 30 minutes, carving a path through multiple communities south of the city. Extensive ground scouring, severe tree damage, and numerous flattened or completely destroyed homes ultimately resulted in an EF4 rating.

Departing the scene, I feared the worst as an endless armada of emergency vehicles raced toward the damage path to assist victims. Remarkably, despite the violence of the tornado, only 10 injuries were reported and no fatalities.
