Weslaco, Texas — Weslaco Police responded to Mile 5 N. and FM 88(Texas) regarding a male subject asleep behind the wheel of a white, newer model F-150 King Ranch. Upon Officers arrival male suspect refused to turn the vehicle off and fled the scene. In his attempt to flee he struck a patrol unit and also injured a Weslaco Police Department Officer. As of January 31, 2019, the suspect has still not been apprehended.
