I am currently building my art portfolio which means I get to make a ton of new art. This short features one of my recent pieces titled “dearly missed”. I came up with the concept while listening to Searows song of the same title. The painting is multi-media made in digital format using an iPad and an Apple Pencil. My favorite part of this piece is the flower field! I spent a lot of time on it and it’s the first thought I had when making this idea come to life. I also have really grown to love the rest of the nature featured in this painting (tall grass, weeds, fun and exciting color combos). I feel like the nature contrasts beautifully with the woman in the middle who seems to be overwhelmed or in a daze as she takes in all of the emotions and beauty surrounding her.
