Crafting Rosaries for Marian Devotion

Description

Making rosaries by hand is a tradition dating back to the Middle Ages, one that Joselito Estrella, Grand Knight of Council 13344 in the Philippines, continues during breaks along his jeepney route. The rosaries he and his wife craft are distributed free of charge through their Knights of Columbus council. Through the Lipat Poon devotion, in which an image of Our Lady is brought from home to home for prayer, the Knights encourage families to keep the rosary close at hand, pray together, and grow in devotion to the Blessed Mother, who always leads her children closer to her Son.
