Complex Chords

Description

Tackling more complex chords gets trickier and tricker when it comes to how many fingers are required for the chord and then leading with different fingers. This exercise in The Novice Pathway introduces three finger chords - focusing on leading with different fingers. I wouldn't say these chords are exactly 'complex' - but we're getting into the territory more with this exercise.

Part of the exploration of how to get something to, ultimately, 'groove' is knowing which fingers need to 'press down' first in some of these spider chords, you want to execute in such a way that you have the full groove of the chord before, and the full groove of getting to the next chord, without intentional gaps or noise between them. Any noise of the fretboard, string noise, movement noise, should be done in such a way that it's part of the performance, AKA IN GROOVE, in time and not a 'mistake' to the listener. Like a vocalists breath, when in time, and intentional, it becomes part of the performance.
