Hannes Bieger returned to Poker Flat in 2021, two years after “Chemistry”, this time introducing a new voice with a unique story behind it. Ursula Rucker had been writing poetry as a girl in Philadelphia long before she first read at Zanzibar Blue in 1994. From there came the work that made her name, with The Roots, 4hero & King Britt and by 2021 her delivery was one of the most recognisable in spoken word. A sound engineer from Berlin and a poet from Philadelphia, combining their expertise. “The Heart" still stands out and pulls listeners in with a sound of its own, that’s we it’s our choice for the Classic of the Week.
