In the 2nd T20I of the 2019 series at Eden Park, Auckland, India secured a convincing 7-wicket victory over New Zealand to level the three-match series 1-1. After New Zealand elected to bat first, sharp bowling from Krunal Pandya (3/28) restricted the Black Caps to 158/8 despite a brisk half-century from Colin de Grandhomme (50). In response, stand-in captain Rohit Sharma led the chase with a stylish 50 off 29 balls and set up a solid 79-run opening stand with Shikhar Dhawan (30). Rishabh Pant (40* off 28) and MS Dhoni (20*) then comfortably guided India home with seven balls to spare.
