You've probably seen an old house or barn with the base of the wall kicked out or bulging, with an obvious structural problem. In this video I'll go over the issue of rotting sills, which can result in a wall bulging out and even eventual collapse. Timber framing, also known as post and beam framing, is especially prone to this problem. I'll demonstrate a repair on an old barn and discuss methods of repairing a house, too.
