Description
Desmond's, the much-loved sitcom set in a Peckham barbershop, brought stories of family, friendship and community to audiences across the UK. Its impact is now recognised by a blue plaque from the Nubian Jak Community Trust. Jak Beula, the trust's founder, says the show was pioneering, while writer Trix Worrell told BBC Radio London that its themes remain relevant today, with a new generation streaming the series on Channel 4.
