@BabyRoseMusic joins Vibe's First and Last to talk about @sza being the first person that cosigned her, how piano is her first love, and how she got to see her screensaver in real life when she visited Morocco.
On her relationship with #sza: “This was when I had music only on SoundCloud. Just mixtapes. And she's such a real one, I love that girl so much. She showed up to my first show I ever had in L.A., and it was on my birthday. From there, it's just been a friendship that's just deeper than music. It's about just life and life advice. She's awesome and incredible.”
On learning to play the piano: “My first love was piano, through and through. But I've always played by ear and just kind of exhausted myself...YouTube University doesn't necessarily apply for ADHD, okay. So you need a little bit of assistance in that regard. But now that I'm learning guitar, it comes with theory. And so I'm learning the language. And so I'm advanced in piano until, like, level five.”
On visiting Morocco: “I took a vacation with my bestie and went to go to Morocco on like an adventure. It was not cutesy, it was very National Geographic energy. Fighting for our lives, I got food poisoning day one. The saxophones! It was actually a lot but where I got the most inspiration was we went to the Sahara Desert and it looked like my screensaver.”
