Description
The ROG Xbox Ally X20 finally answers the single biggest complaint about the lineup by swapping in a 7.4-inch 120Hz Nebula HDR OLED panel, dressed up in a translucent black and gold shell for the 20th anniversary of Republic of Gamers. While the internal muscle stays anchored to the familiar AMD Ryzen AI Z2 Extreme, 24GB of LPDDR5X RAM, and that reliable 80Wh battery, the ergonomics get a serious tactile upgrade with magnetic TMR joysticks that banish stick drift, flush-pressing face buttons, and a rotating D-pad that physically toggles between four-way and eight-way precision. Upgraded microSD Express support and dual USB-C ports with Thunderbolt 4 compliance round out the spec sheet, though the thirteen-hundred-dollar price tag ensures this handheld is strictly for those who take their portable frame rates seriously. Let us know in the comments if true OLED blacks and upgraded controls are enough to justify the jump over the standard Ally X.
