Apple just split the iPhone 18 launch into two events — and the cheap iPhone is the casualty. Fall 2026 will be the first fall iPhone launch with no non-Pro option. The base iPhone 18, iPhone 18e, AND iPhone Air 2 are all delayed to spring 2027. The cheapest new iPhone you can buy in September will be the iPhone 18 Pro — starting at $1,099 minimum based on current Pro pricing. That's a $300 jump from last year's entry point.
