I took the 1.5 volt Hall Sensor that I showed in my last video and connected to a small 'solar waver' solar panel as the power source. I connected that arrangement to a four coil (34Ga) pulse motor and ran the motor on ambient room light. This worked better than I thought.
In the video I mentioned that the Hall sensor was a 'latching' type but the way that it works is that when the magnet comes by the transistor turns on hard but then turns off hard once the magnet leaves. This is what I want for the motors that I build.
