I took the 1.5 volt Hall Sensor that I showed in my last video and connected to a small 'solar waver' solar panel as the power source. I connected that arrangement to a four coil (34Ga) pulse motor and ran the motor on ambient room light. This worked better than I thought. In the video I mentioned that the Hall sensor was a 'latching' type but the way that it works is that when the magnet comes by the transistor turns on hard but then turns off hard once the magnet leaves. This is what I want for the motors that I build.

Ambient Room Light Powered Pulse Motor

Open this video on Lidmotor1. 5 v hall sensor for pulse motors
This is a Hall Effect sensor that will work on a 1.5 volt AA battery. I tested it on a pulse motor and found that it will reliably switch the motor for months with no other components in the circuit----just the tiny chip. It is not a perfect replacement for...
Open this video on Lidmotor1.6 volt Hall Sensor Motor
This shows an electric motor being triggered by a low power tiny (SMD) Hall effect sensor that will trigger at 1.68 volts. I found the DRV5032 Hall sensor on Amazon. A 1.6 volt rechargeable Zn-NI AA battery will work with it. This opens up some interesting ...

This is an attempt to assemble a simple and portable low wattage 12v compressor air conditioner. I wanted it to be solar powered using a 200 watt solar panel and a 12 volt battery source. This is what I came up so far as a proof of concept. It would not coo...

This shows a curious effect where three devices sync up and move when sunlight powers them in a certain way.
Open this video on LidmotorMy Non Stop Running Devices at 8 years
This is an update on a years long experiment working with non-stop running devices. The point of the experiment was to see what causes a 24/7 running device to stop, try to fix the issue, then turn it back on and wait until it stops again. This is an update...

This is a whimsical device that shows what can be done with a pile of sticks and a bunch of imagination. Along the way in building this I discovered a good display of how a 'hit and miss' engine works.

Open this video on LidmotorTiny rechargeable battery for small projects
This shows a tiny rechargeable 3.7v battery that worked great on my small low amp draw pulse motors. One end of the battery fits perfectly in the small prototype boards that I use. Here is the BigClive video where he examines this battery: https://www.youtu...
