Description
One of the best books I’ve ever read is the 48 Laws of Power by Robert Greene. Now as usual, my perspective of things may be different to yours but I personally think that this literature is an amazing tool to see which way your personality sways.
The information in this book will 100% provide you with tools to create a more solid foundation in life but the thing about the information in this book is that it doesn’t really tell you the scenarios in which you should apply the laws… meaning you’re left to your own devices to determine when and how to apply them.
So in other words you can use this book for both good and evil.
I’d personally like to think that the majority of the people who read it would understand that not every law HAS to apply to their current situation. There’s 48 of them in total and there’s a good chance that you only need the philosophy behind maybe 10 of them. Mainly the ones that teach you to keep your whole mouth shut during times of desperation. Silence is golden and if you haven’t reached that level yet it’s because you’re fighting the natural thoughts that enter your mind through isolation rather than laying back to observe them. The more you let those thoughts be, the more you’ll understand why they are there in the first place. Once you know why then you can change it accordingly… if you want to of course.
One thing I’ve learned in a pretty big way is that you can’t have power and control at the same time. Really think about that. If you’re trying to control everything around you then you definitely don’t have the power you think you do. But if you have the power you desire, the control of your environment is irrelevant because it all belongs to you already and one C word that goes hand in hand with power is CREATION. Power and control don’t coexist. Power and creation does though. Control tends to flow better with insecurity 😉
What you seek to control will control you
What you seek to create will empower you
