A Zoo Without a Pulse

Description

When I was a child, visiting my grandparents in Santa Barbara, I would often go to the nearby Natural History Museum. I remember being delighted and fascinated by the animal exhibits. Now, revisiting them as an adult, I've been disenchanted by them and I see the museum for what it is: a zoo without a pulse. I've deliberately desaturated the colors to make it look like the lives of the animals have drained and withered over the many years they've been mounted in that public trophy room for children to ogle over. I've also added a haunted wind ambience over the soundtrack to emulate the creatures' souls, wailing through their dead glassy eyes, yearning to crash through the glass and break free.
