Description
A white gold ring with an emerald and diamonds, crushed and misshapen… but not all is lost
In the video, we bring it back to its original shape. The interesting part? It was possible because it was handcrafted, giving it a more flexible and resilient structure.
If it had been made using lost-wax casting, it likely would have broken into several pieces… and there would have been nothing we could do.
Craftsmanship truly makes the difference
When I decided to make the video, I had already straightened the ring’s shank. Originally, because it had been stepped on, the ring had the shank completely bent to the side, in addition to being broken at the bottom.
