The neodymium magnets keep the terrarium balanced on its edge. It is surprisingly stable. You can push it, but it just rocks back and forth and finds its equilibrium back. It doesn’t seem possible that a jar would balance on its edge like that, but as you can see, it’s true.
The moss was acquired from near where I live. Most of the moss were growing on concrete.
There are many different methods to setup a proper moss terrarium. This was my method.

Hi, I’m back. I want to say that I was never gone. I had no intention of not uploading for this long. I injured my left shoulder in an accident, then I injured the same shoulder 4 more times. I went to several different doctors, went to physical therapy, and went to acupuncturist for nearly 6 months. I had nearly zero mobility on my left arm for 3 months or so. I could barely move it. I was in pain for a very long time. It was a very trying time. Then after I was finally healed, I caught the flu. The flu lasted nearly a month. Longest that I’ve ever been sick. I also got ear infection from the flu and that lasted over 3 months. I went to 3 different doctors and was on antibiotics for nearly 2 months straight. What finally healed it was I stopped going to the doctors, and I cut all sugar in my diet like sodas and any kinds of sweets, only ate home cooked meals, ate 1 orange a day, slept 8 hours a day, and took it easy and rested whenever possible. Now, I’m finally better.
