Here's a gun you've probably never heard of. I hadn't either. As I say here, in my good-deal Black Friday Hunting, this is one of the guns I came up with: the Olmi 963 "MF Defense" 7 shot .357 Magnum. I was incredulous at the low price and I figured either way it will make good content. I was right.
There's a lot of revolver fans in TNP and most aren't made of money. Enter the Olmi (I think the sound of that). It is made by Fabbrica Armi Olmi (also known as Armi Olmi G.) is an Italian firearms manufacturer located in Sarezzo (BS), Italy and imported by Taylors & Co currently.
The quality will impress you and the design departs from the standard. The 963 features a forged Ni-Cr-Mo tri-alloy steel frame, a ventilated barrel shroud, and incredible walnut grips. It's heavy and bulky. Supposedly also available in 3-inch and 4-inch barrel lengths, the revolver utilizes a Dan Wesson-style dual frame locking pin. The whole presentation is solid and well built. The Ruger GP100 and new Colt Python make welcome appearances as competitive options.
The video review will add a short in field shooting of the Olmi and I will show you how geeked out with some super cool Pelicans flying overhead (in the desert!!!). Tune in for that fun and the final rec' on this pleasantly surprising .357 Magnum....the one you didn't see coming.

Of the same ilk, SAR SR38 looks to be another value .357 made in Turkey. I doubt I can ever get one for review.
