A little bit of Fallout 76 B.E.T.A.
This is me about 45 mins in game. I made my character and headed out.
First Impressions:
I wish the betas were a bit longer. The game seems to play smoother (opening doors, looting etc) than Fallout 4. Some glitchiness near doors and such. Funny enough saw around 20 people and no one murdered me. May be hope yet for the game long term.
I really liked the quest system. It holds your hand but in a game like this its kinda needed. Please forgive my potato aim. I forgot VATS is not like in every other FO game and its tied to your AP.
I do like they don't keep you in the vault too awful long. Basic stuff and you get outside. Fallout 3 was like around 1-2 hours at least inside then you could get out and explore.
I do like the tapes play as you find them. Kinda adds to the story which I think is important to build immersion
The map feels a bit small, thats no big deal, expansions will most likely include harder areas.
I am from upstate NY and Boston and the 2nd half of New Vegas really appealed to me. I am not as enthused with the area of WV as Boston.
The color pallet is REALLY vibrant! I am kinda digging it a bit but do kinda miss the grungy look a bit. I am sure there will be filters or maybe I missed it.
