In Viscera Cleanup Detail, as the name implies, we're a janitor working for a sci-fi mega corporation and our job is to clean up after their horrible unethical experiments have gone awry, removing all traces that anything bad happened. In this episode we're cleaning up after a failed protect in the megacorp's headquarters. There's lots of graffiti we have to clean up with very fragile vials of acid - what could go wrong?! As long as I walk very slowly and carefully and speak soft, reassuring things to my vials of acid, we'll be fine. We dispose of ex-employees and clean up trash, bullet casings and all sorts of messes while I ramble about science fiction, games (video games and tabletop roleplaying games like Dungeons and Dragons) and their therapeutic/developmental applications and how they helped me figure out who I am, how I want to be and my sense of morality. I talk about how games can be amazing avenues to encourage empathy and to explore things without consequence, and how that can help people experiment with gender, morality, personality and identity. It may sound a little unpalatable, but it's actually a very chill experience where we just take our time cleaning up thoroughly and methodically, making the place spotless and taking pride in a job well done.
