Troy has been living the van life for an incredible 24 years and his story is one of the most unique and inspiring we have ever featured. It all started when he traded an ice cream freezer for his first Econoline van and began with weekend van life out of a work van. He got married at one point and tried sticks and bricks living, but it simply did not work for him, so he returned to the road and never looked back. Troy currently lives in an Econoline 350, choosing the bigger rig so he can tow. He lives with muscular dystrophy and he has found that life on the road allows him to manage his condition in ways that work for him. Bob loved the openness of Troy’s van and after spending time with Troy it is easy to understand why 24 years on the road simply made sense for him.
