The Honda S2000 has become one of the defining Japanese sports cars of its era, but this particular example has a story all its own.
Today on Neighborhood Car Reviews, we’re taking an in-depth look at a 2000 Honda S2000, finished in Silverstone Metallic over a red leather interior. This first-year AP1 has traveled more than 182,000 miles, has had one owner, and remarkably still retains details such as its factory Honda radio and original window sticker.
Under the hood is Honda’s legendary 2.0-liter DOHC VTEC F20C four-cylinder, producing 240 horsepower and paired exclusively with a close-ratio 6-speed manual transmission. The original window sticker shows a base MSRP of $32,000, plus $440 destination, for a total original price of $32,440.
Rather than being tucked away as a low-mile collector car, this S2000 was driven. More than two decades and 182,000 miles later, it gives us a fascinating opportunity to look back at Honda’s purpose-built roadster as it actually survived in the real world.
In this review, we’ll explore its exterior design, red interior, digital instrumentation, power-operated soft top, F20C engine bay, trunk, controls, factory equipment and the small details that made the original S2000 such a memorable driver’s car.

We show features and details that are on the particular model being shown. Performance data, safety equipment and the like are usually not shown due to the already enormous amount of videos that cover the aforementioned topics.
We like to cover everything from classics to high-end and everything in between.
