This Video is related to the study of the concept of the control system. In the Control system, we discussed a closed-loop control system, transfer function, step response, and PID controller. One method to obtain step response and study their parameter in MATLAB Coding. We discussed two methods of calculating step response in MATLAB. The method discussed in this class is easy as in this code directly work on s-domain as a control system, the major problem is defined in the control system. Learn about the basic command of MATLAB like close all, clear all, clc, exit, step command to plot step response. Discuss the closed-loop control system along with the terms reference signal as input, controlled, or the desired signal as an output and PLANT which need to be controlled. Discuss the need of controller and then discuss the mathematical representation of the PID controller. In a closed-loop control system, output as feedback continuously compares with input to generate an error signal which becomes an input for the controller, and controller output is known as the Actuating signal which is given as an input to PLANT. Aim of study that the error should be zero for the normal operation of PLANT. Controller help system to get error zero in a proper manner, there is a different form of controller present, they used as per requirement. Once error becomes zero the system needs to be maintained at a stable point and do not be overshoot or undershoot. There are many controllers present over here. We discussed the PID controller i.e. Proportional, integral, and derivative which work on the concept of the present, past, and future probability of the system. The proportional controller help system to achieve goal fast, integral help system to maintain across a stable point, and derivative do not allow the system to overshoot. So, we understand the concept of PID with the working of an AC i.e. air conditioner as an example of the closed-loop control system. And learned how PID useful as a controller for the system. Each one can be explained in detail with the help of a block diagram. In the next class, we will discuss coding of PID in MATLAB coding for a given system and notice the effect of PID on the System.
