This video is related to understand the importance of step response to study the behavior of the control system. The system is the plant or any device or any machine of which behavior is study for a given input and get the output. The system is described with the help of two categories i.e. Open-loop and closed-loop control system. The open-loop control system in which feedback is absent, the output is not related to input of the system. The closed-loop control system in which feedback is there to compare the output with input (reference input) to get the desired output. The output of the system changes continuously until the output becomes as desired. Error signal generates due to the comparison of output and reference input. To become an ideal system, the error signal should be zero, for that a controller is used before the plant or system. System behavior is defined or understand with the help of Step Response. The step response is evaluated with the help of the Transfer function of the system. The transfer function is defined by the equation, which describes the output upon input. Step Response describes with the help of many parameters like rise time, settling time, peak response, and steady-state value. MATLAB coding is explained to understand how to step response evaluates for the given system. How to put comment line in coding, basic commands close all, clear all, clc are also explained. The complete concept of writing code and useful command like feedback, step, etc. are also understand along with the coding to get the final output as a step response of the system.
