Nico wakes up from his dream, jerking into a sitting position. “What the heck was that?! Who’s heather? I don’t know anyone by that name!” He thinks, confused as to why he would have such an unusual dream. As much as he’d like to try to figure out the meaning behind his dream, he was still tired. It was still 2 in the morning, so he decided he’d think about it the next day and falls back asleep. Instead of deciphering his dream, he forgets about it and continues his days as he normally would. Soon, unknowing of Nico, Toby’s father assigns him a girlfriend, Heather. More days pass, Nico had forgotten about his dream and Toby has managed to keep Heather a secret. That was, until his father decided he wanted to make their ‘relationship’ known to everyone, including Nico, so he introduces Nico to his girlfriend. Nico, first heartbroken, recognizes her face and asks to hear her name again. Confused, Toby gives Nico her full name, Heather Casey, the same name from Nico’s dream. He, again, thinks it’s just a coincidence and shrugs it off, focusing on the task at hand. Days pass, Toby gets closer and closer to Heather, and strays away from Nico, and before they know it, it’s December. On a cold December day, December the third to be exact, Nico and Toby were taking a stroll. This had been the day Nico was planning to confess his feelings for Toby, despite everything that happened in the dream. Seeing his crush was cold, Toby gives Nico his sweater, and just as Nico was about to confess, Toby comments ‘It looks better on you than it does me’, making Nico have unusual vivid flashbacks to his dream, and the consequences he faced for confessing to Toby on this exact day, so, he decides to play it safe, and confess another day, finally taking his dream’s warning, and continuing walking with Toby and his sweater.
