With the exception of a very unfair red, honestly Spain played their game script to perfection, didn't allow us to play our control game, they were genuine and fair winners today. I congratulate them on a hard fought final.
I wish we had a midfield like theirs. They have proven that whoever controls the midfield, controls the game. Imagine how much more of a powerhouse Spain would be if they had good attackers to go with their impressive midfield?
Anyhow, this finale ended up rhyming with 2010, not 2006. I can't call them all! what I can do, is be forever grateful to Lionel Messi for giving us 20 years of impeccable futbol. I will miss you, Lio. You bow to no one. Two 2nd places and one world cup win. What more could I have possibly asked you for?
