In the late hours of August 18, 2020, former American Senator and President, Barack Obama released his summer playlist and a Nigerian song once again made it.
This year, the list includes ‘Smile‘ by Wizkid and H.E.R, Beyonce’s “Already” with Shatta Wale & Major Lazer, H.E.R's As I Am, John Legend's Dont Walk Away featuring Koffee and other songs by International artists like Frank Ocean, Megan Thee Stallion, J. Cole, Billie Eilish and more. In 2019, Obama's playlists included 'Iron Man' by Rema and 'Anybody' by Burna Boy.
Wizkid is known for his talent and it is a fact that any song the starboy features on always makes it's way to the music charts. After his collaboration with H.E.R on Smile, he went on to work on Dj Tunez's Cool Me Down and Pami which also features Adekunle Gold, one of the Kings of Alte and Omah Lay who is one of the hottest artists at the moment.
