Description
VIA, Canadian National, and Canadian Pacific trains battling winter weather in Ontario, Canada during January of 2026. A series of powerful winter storms have recently hit the Ontario area, with heavy snowfall and lake effect snow squalls hitting along the CN Kingston Subdivision. Despite the snow, the trains still roll along, albeit at high speeds! I ventured out into the snow between Colborne and Lovekin, and needless to say, I wasn't disappointed with the results!
In addition to the Kingston Sub, I ventured up north of Toronto to the CN Bala Sub, and was able to catch the VIA Rail Canadian and some CN / CP freight trains, near Washago and Parry Sound.
