Featured is a wild chess game between Nodirbek Abdusattorov and Arjun Erigaisi from Round 2 of the Quantbox Chennai Grand Masters 2026. Arising out of the Ruy Lopez (Spanish Game), we observe the rare 4...Be7 rather than the most popular 4...Nf6. A key difference between the two is revealed with 6...f5, with a new position being reached after 8...Bf6. Erigaisi certainly seemed to be better prepared, as his aggressive kingside play caused Abdusattorov great difficulties early on.
