31-year-old Singaporean Magdalene Huang knew moving to Sweden would mean taking home less pay. She did it anyway.
Between higher taxes, a higher cost of living and putting her CPF contributions on hold, living overseas came with financial trade-offs. But for Mag, the opportunity to work with people from around the world and learn new ways of communicating has been just as valuable.
"I think the gains and the benefits that you get from living abroad is very intangible," she says.
