Attila the Hun is one of the most famous leaders of ancient history. His people, the Huns, are not very well understood however, especially when it comes to which language they actually spoke.
*Many viewers have kindly responded to let me know that "atta" is also a Turkic word for father, and upon looking into the matter the second affix can also be explained as Turkic (see for instance the argument put forward by Pritsak).*
