What if we moved airports offshore?
Imagine an airport built several kilometres out to sea, completely eliminating noise complaints for nearby residents. Passengers would travel to and from the mainland through high-speed tunnels or tubes, while aircraft could take off and land over open water, 24/7 regardless of wind directions!
Is it a ridiculous idea... or something that could genuinely happen one day?
In this video I explore the concept, the engineering challenges, the economics, and whether someone like Elon Musk could eventually make it a reality using tunnel technology and ambitious infrastructure projects.
