RAID is one of the most confusing parts of building storage as a creator. In this video I break down RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, and 10 in plain English, show you exactly which one to use for your number of drive bays, build one from scratch, and pull a live drive to show what actually happens (and how to recover) when a disk dies. Then I get into how a NAS fits a real creative workflow: editing 4K straight off the drive, syncing to the cloud, and organizing photos with on-device AI.
Most important takeaway: RAID is NOT a backup. Always keep a separate copy of anything you can't afford to lose, and follow the 3-2-1 rule.
