To say Kazuya has made an impact in competitive Super Smash Bros. would be an understatement. From his insane combos to the best melee attack in the game, there's a reason he's a top tier in the newest official tier list. What some of you may not know, however, is that the trouble with this "Shoto" started long before he took his first stock... some might say it started when people over in Japan cooked up a little series called Street Fighter.
This isn't normally much of an FGC channel, you won't see a Kazuya guide up on MockRock anytime soon (for either series), but as someone who's played a lot of 2D and 3D fighting games over the years in addition to Smash, I've always been interested in how fighting game terminology and Smash terminology differ.
