I wanted to understand how the weapons in Marathon actually work, not just which guns feel strong, but what the numbers really say about the sandbox. So I built a full weapon chart calculating damage, RPM, headshot multipliers, DPS, bullets-to-kill, and time-to-kill across every armor tier from white shields at 120 health all the way to purple shields at 180. In this video I walk through the chart, explain how the weapon sandbox is structured, and highlight some interesting discoveries like the fastest TTK weapons, surprisingly strong picks, and how different weapon classes perform at different ranges. Numbers on paper don’t always translate perfectly to gameplay, but they give us a great baseline for understanding how the sandbox is designed. The full chart is linked above.
