For her second season, Music Director Xian Zhang was inspired by nature and the community that welcomed her to the Pacific Northwest. This culminates in the three-week Nature in Music Festival, featuring Xian conducting Beethoven’s “Pastoral” Symphony, Respighi’s Pines of Rome and Grieg’s Peer Gynt Suite. We also showcase acclaimed guest artists on the Benaroya Hall stage, from beloved violinist Itzhak Perlman to organist and viral sensation Anna Lapwood.
