Headline stories include a 200g weight saving on the frame, leading to an all-up weight without shock of 1,850g. There's also upgraded internal storage with an improved latch and integrated tool, a minimal chain guide, and they've ditched the hateful headset cable routing in favour of regular ports and full sleeves for easier installation.
Up front, travel increases to 140mm front with most models enjoying Fox's excellent 36 SL chassis, while the rear gets 125mm using a flexstay design and updated forged swing link.
Canyon is offering five frame sizes from XS to XL with reach numbers from 410mm to 490mm. The largest two frames also enjoy longer chainstays for a better balance. Head angle on all sizes is 64.8º. All four build options use the same carbon frame, with prices starting at €2,999 for the CF6 with Shimano XT and Fox 34 Rhythm Grip fork. Top model is the CF9 with Fox Factory suspension for €5,999.
