Look at how much force Bolt is putting down per step!

While the visual looks at sprinting, running at slower paces still involves high amounts of forces.

For example, musculotendinous forces have been recorded around 6-8x bodyweight around the calf (specifically soleus) region. (Dorn et al. 2012).

Oftentimes, we take these forces for granted.

People tend to try to “get fit” through running, but also appreciate that we may also need to train the body for that task.

So… Respect the demands of running and train accordingly.
