A few weeks ago I got to go into Decoy Studios in Suffolk and record a new, live version of Wasn’t Expecting That. This is the arrangement I came up with, having Kate Rusby’s voice in mind, long before asking her to be a part of the new 10th Anniversary Edition. You can imagine how chuffed I was when she agreed to do it for the album. Here it is completely stripped back, sadly, on this occasion, no Kate, just me and the brilliant Tommy Ashby playing guitar.
