CROCK POT RECIPE:
CREAMY CROCKPOT GROUND BEEF & CHEESY PASTA 🥘
INGREDIENTS
* 1 lb lean ground beef
* 1 small onion, diced (optional)
* 2 cloves garlic, minced
* 2 cups beef broth
* 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
* 1 cup heavy cream
* 1 tsp Italian seasoning
* 1/2 tsp paprika
* Salt and pepper to taste
* 12 oz rotini or medium pasta shells
* 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
* 4 oz cream cheese, cubed (optional, for extra creaminess)
DIRECTIONS
1. Brown the ground beef in a skillet with the onion and garlic. Drain the grease.
2. Add the cooked ground beef, beef broth, cream of mushroom soup, Italian seasoning, paprika, salt, and pepper to the crockpot. Stir well.
3. Cover and cook on LOW for 3–4 hours.
4. Stir in the heavy cream and uncooked pasta. Make sure the pasta is mostly covered by the liquid. Add a little extra broth or hot water if needed.
5. Cover and cook on HIGH for approximately 20–40 minutes, stirring every 10 minutes and checking the pasta until tender. Cooking time varies by slow cooker.
6. Stir in the shredded cheddar cheese and cream cheese, if using, until melted and creamy.
7. Let sit for 5 minutes to thicken, then serve!
TIP: For the most reliable pasta texture, cook the pasta separately according to the package directions until al dente. Stir it into the finished crockpot beef sauce with the heavy cream and cheese during the last 10–15 minutes. This helps prevent mushy pasta.
Enjoy! 🤎
