Many folk who have run into me at hacker cons, parties, and other events where we're all having fun with a variety of interesting tech tools will have often seen me with a curious purple implement plugged into a wall (and often plugged into me at the same time) as I invite them to experience the sensation of being shocked by high voltage.
A great many of my friends and partners are already familiar with the device called the "Violet Wand" but if this is a foreign concept for you, then this introductory workshop is for you! I got to present this with two absolutely stellar and brilliant friends of mine in North Carolina during a private evening session at CackalackyCon and it was a big hit with the attendees.
If you've ever been curious to learn more about electroplay -- including a huge dose of advice and guidance on how to ensure that you're approaching this topic safely -- then this workshop is for you. After watching, you'll be equipped to possibly try this equipment out yourself with friends and loved ones... or to simply stand in line with others who are queued up to be shocked by me the next time we're all gathered somewhere fun!
