Robert Reschid Stanley, was Welsh born Victorian Grocer and Mayor of Stalybridge, in Manchester. As a Muslim, he was best known for serving as vice chair at the very first British mosque, the Liverpool Muslim Institute, in Liverpool. In this film, his great-great-great granddaughter, Christina Longden, tells of his incredible conversion to Islam in 1898 at the height of the Victorian era.
