I’m delighted to say that, thanks to the talents of producer Max Ovenden, Firestarter marks the first of several re-records I’m doing of my old music.
I started my music career somewhat accidentally as a GarageBand artist, messing around on my laptop in my bedroom. While I am proud of what I created and nostalgic when I listen to the out-of-tune guitar tracks and subpar percussion, I admit the songs never quite measured up to how I initially imagined them in my head, and they certainly don’t compete on the wider music scene. I will always be grateful for how you all have championed them, because I would not be where I am today without your appreciation for my little creations. That said, I’m ecstatic to be in a position now to work with someone who has the skills I lack, and to re-record my early bookish music with the cinematic production I’ve always wished it had!
