Description
Writing this from the hospital bed. The radiation/oncology team wanted me to come in to hospital for scans to make sure everything is normal with my headache/nasuea/vom reaction to brain radiation. Treatment has been challenging and they want to be precautious.
Thankfully the scans showed normal swelling from surgery and radiation. They admitted me to help control the swelling with IV meds and prevent complications.
Their concern is swelling in some cases can block the flow of fluid from the brain and then it’s another emergency surgery to place a drain or remove more tumors (also, I’d have to shave my head 😭). Thankfully the neurosurgeon said this is not my situation. 🙏🏼
I’m waiting now to see if I can be discharged today and have a somewhat normal Valentine’s Day with husband. The plan is sleep, eat, become one with the couch lol! Last night we arrived to the ER at 7pm and didn’t get an our hospital room until 4:45am. Your girl is tired but eternally grateful. 😴🌹🦥
Thank you everyone for your outpouring of love and prayers, they are all felt. Love you. God has us, as always.
I am healed healthy and well, Amen. 💖🙏🏼
