Presenting the USS Ranger, NCC-2357. A modified Exclesior block III starship. This is the hero ship to a Star Trek fan film that has been a dream of our Dad's since he was in 8th grade. Maybe we can finally make it someday.
This is our Dad's first attempt at creating and animating a Star Trek ship. The lighting isn't perfect and still needs some playing with, but we think it's cool to see the ship "come to life" from his imagination for the first time.
The ship was created from a kitbash of the Exclesior by David Metlesits, and the Enterprise-B (original model and textures) by A.Klemm (Nightfever), as well as other bits and pieces here and there, along with original creations.
Assembled in Lightwave 3D, textured and rendered using Video Copilot's Element 3D v2 and Adobe After Effects.
