Recovery from my high volume liposuction surgery was quite a journey! I didn't have a "typical" recovery but I think it's important to know all the risks and possibilities- and share that I still think it's 100% worth it to have this surgery!
My first lipedema surgery (anterior legs and trunk) took place on November 20th, 2024 in New Jersey with Dr. Volshteyn as my surgeon. Two more surgeries are planned (posterior legs and arms) and everything is being covered by my insurance, Highmark, via an out of network exception and single case agreement.
