I'm Patrick Lancaster, and in this exclusive frontline report I embed with the "Veteran Brigade" of Russian forces in the Kursk region as they conduct live artillery combat operations across the border into Ukraine's Sumy region.
After showing you the Veterans Brigade's artillery training and repair facilities in previous reports, this time we move directly into the battle itself. Moments after arriving, the artillery crew receives targeting coordinates and begins engaging Ukrainian positions while operating under the constant threat of counter-battery fire and FPV drone attacks.
You'll see the entire firing process of a **152mm Msta-B howitzer**, hear the fire commands being given in real time, and watch how the crew works under pressure before rapidly camouflaging the gun position and moving to cover.
According to the Russian military, these artillery strikes are supporting the ongoing advance by Russian forces in Ukraine's Sumy region, where Russia says it has recently taken control of several villages.
This is raw frontline combat with no scripts and no second takes. Everything unfolds in real time, from receiving fire missions to firing the gun and immediately preparing for possible return fire.
